This book traces the Lotus story from where it began, in a tiny lock-up garage in North London when Colin Chapman was a student at London University and in his spare time indulging in the popular post-war hobby of buying and selling ‘old bangers’. This was the birthplace of the Lotus marque, the development of which is traced in detail, from Chapman’s first tentative steps as a kit manufacturer through his formation of Team Lotus to his ultimate emergence as a successful manufacturer of Grand Prix cars. An array of excellent photographs support an equally fine text from a well respected author.
Good condition, protected jacket, this is a 1982 reprint, so one of the last books signed by Colin.
