Worn by John Surtees during Team Surtees racing car demonstrations, at Goodwood and various other events, these team only issue, this particular glove presented directly to us from John Surtees at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
John Surtees, CBE should need no introduction, but he was an English Grand Prix motorcycle road racer and Formula One driver. He was a four-time 500 cc motorcycle World Champion – winning that title in 1956, 1958, 1959 and 1960 – the Formula One World Champion in 1964 for Ferrari, and remains the only person to have won World Championships on both two and four wheels.
This used glove is presented in a glass mirror base case allowing a a 360 degree view of this stunning piece, and has been displayed along with a 1:43 scale TS14 by Spark, supplied boxed.
Full COA as seen, complete provenance, originally supplied by us to the first and current owner, this will surely be the centrepiece of any F1 collection.
