Description

Framed, signed photo print 35x25cm (15x10in) ex-John Surtees, with Certificate of Authenticity.

Bertrand Gachot was considered one of the sport’s most promising young drivers, he was highly regarded and was signed to lead the new Jordan Grand Prix team, sponsored by 7-Up and using Ford HB engines. The Gary Anderson-designed 191 was competitive, and after some initial reliability problems became a regular points-scorer.

This dramatic photograph is captioned ‘1991 Grand Prix De France’ and shows Gachot in the cocpit of the iconic Jordan 191, regarded as one of the best designs in the F1 paddock of all time, and often voted the best livery in Formula 1

Large photographs, hand signed by Bertrand Gachot rarely come to market, so we are very pleased to offer this framed print from a collection once owned by John Surtees CBE. Beautifully signed and authenticated by us, from such provenance makes this a unique opportunity to own something very special. No reserve.
